HIV Modernization Community Interim Study

  • Oklahoma State Capitol 2300 North Lincoln Boulevard Oklahoma City, OK, 73105 United States (map)

Did you know Oklahoma still criminalizes people living with HIV? Why are we using a policy response based in stigma, fear, and ignorance for a condition that requires a public health response? And what would it look like to modernize our laws and work towards repair?

On Wednesday November 20, we hope you'll join us from 10 AM to noon at the State Capitol, where we're honored to share space with community partners, State Senate Minority Leader Julia Kirt and State Senator Carri Hicks (and hopefully you!) for intentional space ahead of a new session to learn more about the far reaching harms and implications of a criminal-punishment based response to what should be a public health discussion.
