Federal:

The United States does not offer any federal housing protections for 2SLGBTQ+ residents.

State:
Oklahoma does not offer any statewide housing protections for 2SLGBTQ+ residents.

Resources for Youth

Youth Services Tulsa - Offers a variety of innovative programs focused on counseling, runaway and homeless youth, delinquency prevention, and youth development. They run an emergency shelter for youth ages 12-17 open 24/7, and a drop in center for youth ages 16 to 24 open Monday through Friday, 11am-4pm.

Sisu Youth Services - A low-barrier, identity-affirming space in Oklahoma City where unhoused transition-age youth can access the shelter and support they need. Their overnight shelter is open 7 nights a week for youth ages 15-22, and their drop-in center is open daily for youth ages 15-24. Besides their shelter and drop-in center, Sisu’s programs include a Transitional Living Program, a Rapid Rehousing Program, Host Homes, Case Management, Education, and Life Skills & Enrichment Services.

Pivot OKC - Works with youth ages 12-24 who are often homeless or couch-homeless, disconnected or otherwise at-risk. Pivot provides programs and services including counseling, educational and vocational services, prevention, intervention and diversion services, and wellness/well-being.

OKC Youth Action Board - A program of the ODMHSAS (Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services) Runaway and Homeless Youth Services, the board is governed by youth and young adults 16-24 years of age who have personally experienced housing insecurity. The group assists in both city wide and statewide homeless youth program development and delivery.
