Dr. E. Laurette Taylor, Interim Executive Director
Dr. E. Laurette Taylor joins the Freedom Oklahoma Staff as the organization's Interim Executive Director. Dr. Taylor brings with her decades of organizational leadership and advocacy experience including several years during which she led the Cimarron Alliance Board of Directors. During her 30 years of service at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Taylor was best known for the mentorship she provided her students in the Department of Health and Exercise Science. Additionally, she served 12 years as the departmental chair during which time she helped move the program to its current direction and was instrumental in establishing the doctoral program.
Elizabeth Horn, Director of Programming
Elizabeth is the Director of Programming for Freedom Oklahoma and its affiliate Women Lead Oklahoma. She moved from Los Angeles, CA to Oklahoma City in 2009. She studied Sociology and Women and Gender Studies at the University of Central Oklahoma, a path that has taken her from working with children in adverse situations to adults at the end of their lives. Elizabeth believes in inside-out change and that by providing people with opportunities for education, resources, and connection, they can successfully navigate the pathways to change.
Mary Horn, Operations Manager
Mary is a native Oklahoman who serves as the Operations Manager for Freedom Oklahoma. After a multi-faceted career in the medical and corporate arenas of Oklahoma and California, Mary found her calling as an advocate for the LGBTQ community. She commits herself daily to keeping all aspects of the Freedom Oklahoma office running efficiently and effectively. In addition to serving as an advocate, Mary is an award-winning photographer.
