Expand your civics toolkit with The Freedom Sessions!
There has been a lot happening in and around the State Board of Education. Your voice, experiences, and needs matter when it comes to decisions being made on the behalf of the people. This Freedom Sessions Workshop on Wednesday, May 22nd at 6pm is meant to prepare you to engage with school board members. We will go over our school board toolkit, build on our civic engagement muscles, and share skills with one another so that our voices can be heard. Whether you were able to attend our school board engagement workshop, plan to attend The People's Hearing: School Board Edition on Tuesday, May 21st, or attend the state school board meeting on Thursday, May 23rd this virtual event has something for you! Feel well versed in school boards? Then share in community while you write your speech or an email to your school board. We will see you there!
